Chrome Experiments making JavaScript more fun

It has been three years since Google Creative Labs has been pushing the boundaries of JavaScript and through the use of open web technologies such as Canvas, HTML5, WebGL has been producing some rather graphics, animations and the likes.

Chrome Experiments has come up with some rather amazing graphics through JavaScript and people who still believe that Flash is the only way to build great graphics for the web with interactivity; I guess this should be a wake-up call.

The content on Chrome Experiments is all user-submitted which is selected by the Google team. The main requirement of the content is that it must be “fun and fast in JavaScript.” Navigate through the site and you will see a very wide gamut of experiments from games, to data visualization to just plain fun.

Google has also worked on some of the experiments and has optimized 9 out of the whole pack for mobile based web browsers and has come up with a dedicated site as well. The reason behind launch of mobile optimized experiments may be the recent launch of Nexus 7 and an attempt to showcase the capabilities of Nexus 7.
