PhoneArena, tipped by @leakschina, reported that ZTE U988S press shots are ready and it will probably be the first device to be loaded with Tegra 4. According to the report the U988S will be having a mighty 1.8GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front one, 5-inch full HD display, a microSD slot for storage expansion and will run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. All these components will be crammed in a 9mm chassis.
ZTE partnered with Nvidia to release a Tegra 4 powered device after the official release of the latest chipset but, no timeline was provided as to when will the first handset debut. On the other hand it is also believed that Xiaomi is working on a Tegra 4 smartphone as well and has dubbed it M3. It remains to be seen which vendor releases its handset to the shelves first.
