Launched in April the Slate 7 is the first tablet from HP after the TouchPad debacle last year. The Android based tablet created quite a buzz and many pitched the tablet as a direct competitor to the Nexus 7. The 7-inch tablet is powered by a dual core ARM Cortex-9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz and 1GB RAM. With 1024×600 resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front one, and expandable storage option, the Slate 7 did enable HP to re-establish a name for itself in the tablet industry.
Prices of the tablet in all other countries are still the same as the launch price. There has been no official word from HP yet about the price cuts for other countries. You can read our review of the HP Slate 7 on ParityPortal.com.
