Facebook rolling out Graph Search to US users

The new search feature will be rolled out in the US and to those who use the American English version of the site initially with more languages to follow. The Graph Search basically allows users to incorporate various filters such as “place type,” “liked by,” and “visited by friends,” such that they can find more people in their network and find more people to connect to.

Users will see the new search bar, bigger in fact and a replacement to the exiting search, at the top of each page. The feature is not a replacement of web search but, is meant to return content from Facebook audience only. Privy of the fact that Graph Search will return copious amounts of data that may be in direct violation of one’s privacy, Facebook has been busy addressing these privacy concerns by implement specific search rules that would govern the search results returning teenagers’ data when an adult runs a query.
