Render of Sony Xperia i1 codenamed ‘Honami’ leaked?

The images given a brief idea about the appearance of the smartphone and they do resemble the previous leaks that we have come across indicated that either it’s the same people who have leaked these renders just for the fun of it or they actually are authentic.

Back in April it was reported that Sony was working on two handsets – Honami and Togari. At the time it was reported that Honami will feature a 5-inch 1080p display and will be equipped with a 20-megapixel CMOS sensor with a Carl Zeiss lens.

The new render do indicate that Honami is equipped with a 5-inch display but, with such a slim design it’s hard to believe that Sony would be able to fit in a 20-megapixel sensor. It is also said that the camera has been tweaked such that it can capture 4k videos at 2:1 aspect ratio. The new renders put the speakers at the bottom and there are no buttons on the front screen.

To capture 4K videos we presume that there has to be a powerful enough processor and out bets are on one of the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 family of processors. The smartphone is said to be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
