Smartphones codenamed ‘Honami’ and ‘Togari’ have been known in the rumourland but not much was known about the handsets up until a Baidu forum user posing as Xperia tester spilled the beans on the devices. According to the tester, Togari is going to sport a 6.44-inch display capable of 1080p resolution and will have a very slim design similar to that of Xperia Z. Said to launch in white colour with a white bazel, the smartphone will be dust and water resistant and could hit the shelves as early as July in Japan.

‘Honami’ on the other hand is more interesting claims the tester. The smartphone is believed to be the company’s ‘one sony’ model that will combine the best of Sony technology in one handset. Said to feature a 5-inch 1080p display, the ‘Honami’ will come with a 20MP Cyber-shot CMOS sensor equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens and may also see a July release – at least in Asia. The handset will also have a dedicated Walkman audio chip – probably the s-master mx digital amplifier, and will be dust and water resistant.

The tester claims that ‘Honami’ is going to be the most attractive Sony handset ever – even more so than Apple’s iPhone 5.

According to a Chinese site ePrice, Honami may be powered by Snapdragon 800 chipset featuring four cores clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 graphics. The smartphone may feature 2GB RAM and an embedded battery with 2700 to 3000mAh capacity. The Chinese website also claims that the ‘Honami’ will be fitted with a 20MP camera sensor.
