The Galaxy S 4 managed to beat all the smartphones in the Geekbench 2 tests proving that it is the fastest smartphone available in the market today. Geekbench is actually a cross platform tool for benchmarking different chipsets. Available in two variations when it comes to the processor – one based on Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa processor; the other based on Snapdragon 600 chipset; the one with Snapdragon 600 chipset was used to carry out the tests.
According to the results, Samsung Galaxy S 4 is twice as fast as Apple’s iPhone 5 which is a remarkable achievement. Apple iPhone 5 scored 1596 while Galaxy S 4 managed a score of 3163. Apple has already started working on the next generation iPhone probably known as iPhone 5S and with the current results Apple may very well be planning to put in enough processor juice to beat the S 4.
Samsung Galaxy S 4 also managed to beat HTC’s new flagship device HTC One which uses the same Snapdragon 600 chipset, though it is clocked at 1.7GHz while Galaxy S 4 is clocked at 1.9 GHz. HTC One managed a score of 2687 which is not bad either. We still do not have the results for the Exynos 5 Octa chipset but once we get them, we will surely update you.
