Nintendo Wii U Sales in US Dwindling

The sale figures are extremely poor as compared to the launch month figures. The reason behind Wii’s initial success was the holiday shopping season. The new gaming console was launched by Nintendo in the month of December last year.

The figures for January were terrible as only 50,000 units were sold in the US. According to reports, the first three month’s sale of the device was 38 per cent less as compared to the first three month sales of the original Wii.

Some expert gaming analysts further suggests that there is not much Nintendo can do to improve its Wii U device dropdown phase, as the excitement for the upcoming Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox 720 is at the mount.
