Previously Acer C7 was criticized due to its moderate battery life of just 3.5 hours but now with the upgraded 6-cell, 5000mAh battery the Chrombook offers twice the battery backup than the previous model. Acer was also kind enough to double the RAM which now becomes 4GB from 2 GB. This will surely help C7 carry out some more daily tasks.

The upgraded Acer C7 will now cost you $279 which was previously $199. This makes it more expensive than the Samsung Chromebook which just costs $249. However the processor will remain the same with Intel Celeron 847 1.1GHz which will fulfill most of your multitasking needs. Acer C7 was a huge hit among the education crowd but we will have to see if the price hike will still keep students interested.
