According to a report published by Reuters citing Taiwanese Economic Daily on Monday, Hon Hai Precision which is the parent company of Foxconn, Apple’s manufacturing partner and TSMC which manufactures and supplies A-series chips to Apple, both will be recruiting 5000 new employees this season in anticipation of the increasing need of additional staff. Both the companies have already started posting job recruitment notices at several events targeting the young graduating Taiwanese students.

This is the largest ever recruitment by Hon Hai and the company will mainly look for applicants to add to their existing robotics, e-commerce as well as automated production research and developmental department. Recruitment at such a high scale indicates that Apple and its supplier companies are way heading towards a new range of Apple products.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO earlier this year said that Apple is striving hard to develop a completely new and incredible product line, though no further information was revealed by him. Cook also said that Apple sources its raw materials from many suppliers, so looking at only one or two suppliers will not reveal a true picture of Apple’s future plans and actions.
