Apple released iOS 6.1.2 to fix a couple of bugs that led to drained battery of iDevices. The update specifically targeted Exchange related bug that lead to increased network connectivity which led to battery drain. The update if applied would break the evasi0n jailbreak and bring back the iDevice into a non-jailbroken state.  The jailbreaking group updated evasi0n to support iOS 6.1.1 just last week.

Following the release of iOS 6.1.2 evad3rs had announced that they will be releasing an updated version of evasi0n that will support the updated operating system. Planetbeing, one of the members of evad3rs, tweeted, “We will release evasi0n 1.4 later today that marks iOS 6.1.2 as supported.”

Planetbeing also made a note that the jailbreak haven’t been tested on devices except the iPad mini Wi-Fi and iPhone 5. A tweet from evad3rs later informed that the jailbreak was ready. “evasi0n 1.4 with support for iOS 6.1.2 has been released on http://evasi0n.com  #evasi0n” read the tweet. But, the issue was that all users were not getting the updated version of the jailbreak tool when they tried to download it.

Four hours after the original tweet about the release of the updated tool, evad3rs again tweeted, “The #evasi0n 1.4 download links are now available on http://evasi0n.com  — the cache update took a while.”

The tool is now available for download at evasi0n website.
