The latest Firefox web browser is also available in Mac OS X and Linux versions and packs a few extra features and bug fixes compared to the previous distribution. For Android users, the newest version of Mozilla Firefox will be available for download tomorrow, so they will have to wait for one more day.

The highly awaited PDF viewer based on HTML5 has been incorporated in Firefox 19 thereby eliminating the requirement of any third party plug-in to read PDF files. This is definitely a security boost for the browser as users will no longer have to install additional plugins, like the Adobe Reader, in order to open PDF files.

When you’re installing third party plugins, the web browser tends to be sluggish and sometimes the plugins don’t work as they should, crashes occur, not to mention that they are vulnerable to exploits.

There are also updates aimed to developers and bug fixes, the full list of features and updates will be released tomorrow, at the official launch.
