Going by the username netham45 on XDA-Developers, the developer posted the jailbreak kit today while revealing that the program is based on the recently released exploit by clrokr. The developer describes the tool as “An all-in-one program to jailbreak Windows RT tablets.”
The developer claims that the exploit should do its job within about 20 seconds once past its initial installation cycle. There could be cases when a user, while running the tool, would observe BSoDs. If so, the user would probably want to wait for a few minutes and then execute the tool again.
The exploit is not persistent and hence users would need to execute the tool following each reboot. Users who want to try their hands onto more desktop apps may head on to this link to download a utility that would allow for generation of .libs and .exps from .dll files of desktop apps.
We haven’t had a chance to test out the tool yet but, few forum users who have seem to have successfully jailbroken their Windows RT tablet.
