This new device’s processor is based on ARMv7s architecture, indicating that the device is either carrying the custom A6 SoC as in iPhone 5 or a variation of the custom design. According to the developer the logs show the new device as “ipad3,6” – meaning that the device is a successor of the new iPad aka iPad 3.

There have been rumours floating around that Apple is already working on modified version of the new iPad with the new lightening connector, battery improvement and a thinner body. But, if this were the iPad 4, it should have showed ‘iPad4,1’ or something of that sorts.

This new device is definitely not the iPad Mini as, previously, developer logs have already showed that the 7.85-inch tablet carries a designation of “iPad2,5” and “iPad2,6”. The iPad Mini is already in production according to a report by WSJ.
