The latest in line of iPhone 5 rumour is that the phone is still in testing phase and that production is yet to commence. As per Apple’s way of bringing out devices, there is this “engineering verification test” stage and “design verification test” phase. BGR reports that iPhone 5 is currently in EVT3 stage and hasn’t yet entered design verification tests.

It is said that Apple might be producing some engineering samples of iPhone 5 and may be manufacturing device enclosures just to iron out any issues before the actual production starts.

Another rumour is that iPhone 5 will be having 1GB of RAM as compared to 512 in iPhone 4S and 4G LTE radios as well. Many are of the opinion that August 7 release is just an exaggeration and that September/October launch is more ideal.
