Chinese Website Offering iPhone 5 on Pre-order

iPhone 5 is highly awaited iteration of the highly successful iPhone range of smartphones by apple and rumours are at an all-time high about its launch. Yesterday there were two instances of reports wherein one claimed that the launch was due on August 7 while the other indicated that the launch was more or less going to happen near end of September or early October.

The Alibaba group website, Taobao, has resellers who are accepting pre-order for as low as $160 and as high as the full price of $1,100 but, are not promising anything on delivery times. Sellers are already talking about demands and orders they are receiving. One such seller, nicknamed Xiaoyu said, “Demand is high.”

“Yesterday someone just bought two phones. Altogether we have about two dozen orders,” Xiaoyu added.

Digitimes had reported last week that the iPhone 4S successor will be powered by a quad-core processor probably the Apple’s A6 notes eWeek.

Analysts at Piper Jaffray believe that the phone will be completely re-designed and will be more in lines of the design of the iPad and would possess a larger screen as compared to its predecessors.
